Decentralized AI Morpheus enters Mainnet

The development team announced the launch and free operation of Morpheus on social media on November 18. Its main goal, like other decentralized networks, is to reduce the side effects of AI: centralization, monopolistic control over data, etc. This is not the first project created with such a goal: along with Morpheus, this group includes Bittensor, dAIOS, and Boltzmann Network. All of them are part of the Decentralized AI Society, a trade group aimed at combating tech giants’ control over AI data.

The Lumerin codebase was used to create Morpheus. It was launched on the test network back in July, and the experimental environment showed its effectiveness.

The project promises that personal AI (smart agents) will be able to significantly expand the capabilities of people. This is comparable to how personal computers and search engines significantly expanded the range of existing capabilities a couple of decades ago. The development team called the creation of Morpheus a “historic step”, as they believe that additional tasks of AI agents could be the execution of smart contracts, connection to electronic wallets, applications, etc.
