Due to the lack of interoperability between blockchains, it has long been impossible to transfer assets and data between chains. Polkadot is a blockchain with interoperability at its core. With its modular architecture, it allows developers to build their own blockchains, and the new Hyperbridge protocol will further enhance interoperability. It acts as a co-processor for cross-chain interoperability that can be easily monitored and verified. Not only will this address the need for secure cross-chain interoperability but it will also be an alternative to traditional multi-signature bridges.
Features Provided
With Hyperbridge, developers will be able to launch cross-chain applications in minimal time. The protocol allows to develop on-chain and off-chain software and send cross-chain messages securely. If a project aims to operate on multiple networks (real assets, stablecoin, DAO, etc.), Hyperbridge allows it to launch decentralized applications to extend the multi-chain. This flexibility gives developers more options, including the ability to build interconnected projects without having to deal with the usual barriers of isolated networks. Hyperbridge has raised $2.5 million in crowdfunding to develop this project. It has been thoroughly tested with 66 independent relayers and over 600,000 cross-chain messages.
